London - Caffe Vergnano 1882

If you're in London and happen to be around Holborn/ Farringdon, make sure to pop by Caffe Vergnano 1882 for a coffee.  I read that (owner) Luciano Franchi supplies the Italian embassy in London of coffee, so the coffee at Caffe Vergnano must be good, right? I immediately went ahead and tried out one of their Mocha's on a cold and gloomy Monday..

London - Roka Charlotte Street

One of my favorite restaurants in London must be Roka. From the award winning restaurant Zuma, Roka serves contemporary Japanese Robatayaki food, which is absolutely delicious. Here's my experience with Roka Charlotte Street.

London - Wyld bar

One of my favorite places for going out in London must be Wlyd Bar. This is the hotel 'club' in the W hotel at Leicester Square. W hotels are taking over the world, but I discovered these hotels in the US. Since then, they have been popping up everywhere: London, Barcelona, The Maldives, you name it.

London - Green Park

This is just a quick tip for on a sunny day in London: go have a picnic in Green Park. That's what I did on a beautiful day a while ago and we had such a lovely afternoon at the park. Usually we go for Hyde Park, but Green Park is more 'green' (haha, really?) and cosy. Just grab something to eat at Itsu or Pret A Manger, and go find yourself a quiet little spot in the park!
Closest tube stop is... Green Park.

Paris - Bercy Village

Next to the modern and breath taking Parc de Bercy and the Seine we find this urban-renewal project, 'Bercy Village', in the 12th arrondissement. This consists largely of small wine warehouses from the late 19th Century that were transformed into shops and restaurants. The special thing about Bercy Village is that it is so adorable and unique because of its well perserved urban design. It's a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon, especially if you are up for a cosy drink, a delicous meal, some inbetween shopping, and an evening movie at the big cinema.
