Paris - Most romantic spot!

Millions of locks as a symbol of infinite love, in a city that has always been,
and probably always will be
The City of Love.

 

For lovebirds Paris is THE place to be! This 'Love lock bridge' in particular.

This bridge is really called 'Pont des Arts' and is located on the seine and close to the Louvre.
(Bus 27 stops right infront of this bridge)
The story behind the locks involves writing one another's initials on the lock, locking it to the metal railing to then throw the key into La Seine, below. This symbolic act seals your love for eachother forever.

The Gallery where I worked is accross the river (rive gauche) so I would almost daily cross the river on this beautiful bridge; Seeing lovebirds 'lock' their love, watching bride and groom take breathtaking photographs or just friends playing guitar and singing while sitting on the bridge. This place truely has so much character! Also after a romantic dinner, discovering 'Paris by night', be sure to pass this bridge because even in the evening the illuminated bridge is stunning!
