Paris - Île de la Cité & stunning flowershops!

Metro ligne 4 takes you to 'Cité' where u come above the ground on île de la Cité, right infront of the most beautiful plant market! These plantshops owned by individuals, are so cute and cosy decorated.Walking there I feel like being in a fairytale, the beautiful garden decorations, wind chimes hanging from the ceiling, and the most colourful flowers surrounding you.

Île de la Cité

is a tiny Isle on the Seine. It is there, where the very heart of Paris is and where Paris originated. Although this Isle is not very big, we can admire some important buildings like the grand 'Notre Dame de Paris' Cathedral, and 'La Conciergerie', The oldest Royal Palace of Paris, which was transformed into a prison in the 15th century.


Every one knows the 'Notre Dame' because of the Disney movie 'The hunchback of the Notre Dame' derived from the book written by Victor Hugo in 1831. Apart from the fame it obtained because of the movies, and its great gothic architecture this Cathedral is treasures 3 important religious objects; the crown of thorns, a piece from the cross and one of the nails Christ was crucified with.








There are so many flowers in all shapes and colours. Here are some, which you definitely don't see everyday:
