Île de la Cité
is a tiny Isle on the Seine. It is there, where the very heart of Paris is and where Paris originated. Although this Isle is not very big, we can admire some important buildings like the grand 'Notre Dame de Paris' Cathedral, and 'La Conciergerie', The oldest Royal Palace of Paris, which was transformed into a prison in the 15th century.Every one knows the 'Notre Dame' because of the Disney movie 'The hunchback of the Notre Dame' derived from the book written by Victor Hugo in 1831. Apart from the fame it obtained because of the movies, and its great gothic architecture this Cathedral is treasures 3 important religious objects; the crown of thorns, a piece from the cross and one of the nails Christ was crucified with.
