So far, Ladurée especially made its fame with the 'Parisian macaron'. The iconic colorful cake consists of two halves of bitter almonds, sugar and protein held together by a creamy filling of buttercream, ganache or jam. It was Pierre Desfontaines who launched the delicacy in the 19th century in France, commissioned by the Parisian patissier Ladurée. Many bakeries, supermarkets and even some MacDonalds' in Paris copie the Ladurée macaron but the huge waiting line for Ladurée tells us that it is for everyone a 'must' to get their macarons THERE, in particular.
Previous designers for Laduree's exclusive Packaging amongst others were: Christian Louboutin, Marni and John Galliano fashion house. Galliano also created its own version of the macaron: rose and ginger flavor.
For Ladurée's new cosmetic line you can expect their usual beautiful packaging.
20 sweet blush tints, liquid foundations and some lipsticks, Also face cream, bath products and scented candles are now in the range of Laduree. Ladurée adds an extra dimention this 2012, by launching its own line of cosmetics, with fragrances and colors based on their most famous export product.
Here is a sneak peak of the packaging. They look as sweet as always.
